ITINERARY
DAY 1 08:30-09:30 AM. PICK UP FROM HOTEL OR GUESHOUSE BY PICK UP TRUCK. We will leave Chiang Mai on hightway 108 past the airport to Sanpatong, an about 40 min. drive. We will make a stop at the market. The guide will buy the food for the trek and you have time to buy something you might need on the trek. After a n about 30 min. drive to the Mae Wang waterfall at the Doi Inthanon Natational Park. Here we willmake the mid-day break and have lunch for about 45 min. After the break an about 20 min. Then another 15 min. drive to the end of the road. Now it is time to start walking for about 2 hrs the guide will lead you through a wonderful evergreen jungle landscape,through bamboo forests , lianas,rhododendrons and lots of other vegetation. Also there are lots of beautiful birds. The walk will lead us to Karen Hill Tribe village where we will stay over night.
Day 2 In the morning , after breakfast we will walk to another Karen Hill Tribe village an about 2.5 hrs. walk. A tour around the village and lunch break for about an hour. After the break we will walk for about 1.5 hrs. to a waterfall, from there about 45 min. to Meo hill tribe village. And then we walk to waterfall. There we will spend our second night at waterfall camping.
Day 3 On the third day after breakfast we will walk for about 1 hr. to Shan hill tribe village where we will make a break and have lunch. After lunch we will go bamboo rafing on the Mae Wang Stream for about 1.5 hrs. Then rafts are made of bamboo streams fit tigether with ropes. After we will make an elephant ride for about 1.5 hrs. and then we will drive back to Chiang Mai where you will arrive at about 17:00 pm.
